William Sosna

Spotlight on Centurions 
William Sosna is a staff scientist at MRIGlobal. Bill serves in the medical countermeasures division and has worked overseas on a classified program to combat the War on Terror. Bill is a member of the Centurions, Class of 2014. He serves  as co-chairman of the trip committee, where is he responsible for logistics, entertainment and programming for this year’s Benchmarking Trip to Philadelphia.

November 24th is the date for the Jewish Community Relations Bureau | American Jewish Committee’s Human Relations Dinner  at the Sheraton Kansas City at Crown Center. This year’s Henry W. Bloch Human Relations Award will be presented to James B. Nutter, Sr., who has shown commitment and dedication to justice and the welfare of our community.

Tea Time

2013 Community Ball and Cotillion
The Cedar Creek Swim and Racquet Club was the setting for the Mothers’ Tea for the 2013 Community Ball and Cotillion of the Junior League of Wyandotte and Johnson Counties. The beautiful gown that will be worn by the young ladies at the 63rd annual Ball was unveiled. The Ball will be held on December 7th at the Muehlebach Tower of the Kansas City Marriott Downtown.  Julie and Trent Green are the honorary chairmen.

Jennifer and Chuck Laue

Our community is more humane and the pets within it happier and healthier, thanks to the love and support of Jennifer and Chuck Laue. Jennifer and Chuck have made a tremendous impact at Great Plains SPCA. They have opened their home to foster pets and donated countless hours of support to animals in need. Jennifer and Chuck both serve on its board of directors, with Chuck as president, helping to direct the progressive, no-kill organization.

Crafting Crescendo

Friends of the Conservatory of Music and Dance at UMKC
The Friends of the Conservatory of Music and Dance at UMKC’s Crescendo will be held on November 8th in Helzberg Hall at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts.  Lisa Schellhorn recently hosted an Invitation Stuffing Party where more than 1,200 invitations were prepared for the event.
