Go Red for Women Half Day for Your Heart

The American Heart Association’s 2013 Go Red for Women Half Day for Your Heart event will be held on April 19th. Gina Danner and Kathy Koehler will serve as the co-chairmen. Gina and Kathy are deeply committed to our community and to helping improve the heart health of women.

Sue Bollman

Sue Bollman has been dedicated to helping the youth at Ozanam for more than a decade. Sue supports the clerical staff, volunteers for the Golf Classic  every year and works hard on the gala auction committee. She also donates quilts for the Ozanam youth that she makes with the quilting group at her church.

39th Annual Snow Ball

Invitations Galore!
The 39th Annual Snow Ball benefiting Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas will be held on January 19th and preparations are already in full swing. Five addressing parties were hosted recently around Town by Connie Euston, Jeni Haake, Courtney Sprague, Jeannine Wilkerson, and the Mothers of the Young Children’s group at St. Michael the Archangel Parish.  Proceeds from the black tie gala will help provide the most basic needs to children and families in Our Town.

Clark Fisher
Clark Fisher, a retired chief engineer from TWA; has been volunteer teaching science to fourth graders for 20 years. The 94-year-old resident of Claridge Court retirement community in Prairie Village began teaching through the Society of Automotive Engineers’ volunteer program. His class covers topics such as acceleration, gravity, aeronautics, electricity, inertia, and motion.
