Nicole Marie Burns and Bernard Joseph Craig were married on May 24th at Visitation Church. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Timothy Joseph Burns of Loch Lloyd, Missouri. Nicole is the granddaughter of Virginia “Ginny” Stack Burns of Our Town, the late Mr. Edmond Donald Burns, the late Elvira Quiroz Clarke, and Mr. Lupe Alvarez of Raytown, Missouri. Bishop Spencer Place resident John Herbst and Chaplain Kathy Hall recently collected grocery bags to donate to the Saint Paul’s Episcopal Church food pantry. The pantry distributes more than 425 adult food bags and 90 children’s food bags each week.
John Herbst presented pantry coordinator Richard Scarritt the bags for use by the pantry and Meals on Wheels program.
A handsome baby boy named George Duncan Palmer arrived on June 4th to proud parents Allison Laner Palmer and Jared Palmer of Prairie Village. George weighed seven pounds, four ounces and has blue-grey eyes and brown hair. His delighted grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Joel Blass Laner of Our Town and Page Palmer and Bruce Palmer of Kansas City. George loves his darling grey and navy nursery that has an elephant theme.
Jill Deramus Wagner and Ian Nicholas Beckman were married on March 15th at The Pilgrim Chapel. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Don Wagner of Our Town. Jill is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Neal Deramus III and the late Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Wagner. Her groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Scott Allen Beckman of Our Town.
