She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Herschel Lavoy Manuel of Lenexa and the late Mr. Manuel and Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Ross Mullin of Lenexa. Her groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Billy Wayne Daniel of Southlake, Texas. Chase is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Cue Elick Green, Jr.
Melissa Goodwin Fate and Casey Jon Sansale exchanged wedding vows on July 5th at The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Melissa is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Goodwin Fate of Mission Hills, and Casey is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Edward Sansale of St. Paul, Minnesota. The bride’s grandparents are Mrs. Fred Schoenfeld of Mission Hills and the late Mr. Schoenfeld and Mrs. Jack Fate of Prairie Village and the late Mr. Fate and the late Maxine Fate.
Cayla Kathleen Gebhardt and Tyler Perry Atha were married on July 26th at Estancia La Jolla Hotel & Spa in La Jolla, California. The bride is the daughter of Laurie L. Nicoll of Aliso Viejo, California, and the late Mr. Ronald Gebhardt. Cayla is the granddaughter of Sharon V. Nicoll of Riverside, California, and James C. Nicoll of Newport Beach, California. Her groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Perry Atha of Prairie Village.
A pink bundle of joy named Emily Mooers Powell arrived on February 2nd. She weighed nine pounds three ounces and was 21 and one half inches long. Emily has blue eyes and copper-colored hair. Her proud parents are Anne Riker and David Powell of Our Town. Emily’s grandparents are Mary Ann and Nick Powell of Mission Hills and Ginny and Riker Purcell of Richmond, Virginia. Emily’s great grandmother is Charlotte Stevens of Richmond, Virginia.

Her groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Charles Short of Hamilton, Kansas. The evening prior, a rehearsal dinner was held at Boulevard Brewery. Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a beautiful reception at Mission Hills Country Club. Megan Dixon served as the matron of honor.

Adorable Scarlett Ann Harris turned one in October and celebrated her birthday with a candy-corn themed party at the home of her parents, Brooke and Richie Harris. The birthday girl adores her pal, Arthur, a Newfoundland. While being strolled at running speed, Scarlett giggles with glee, but she frowns when she hears a leaf blower.
