Bride’s Book

Lauren Leigh Fournier and Spencer Curtis Diebel were married on December 10th at Perkins Chapel at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Carter Fournier, Sr., of University Park, Texas. Lauren is the granddaughter of Mrs. John Cheney of Dallas, Texas, and the late Mr. Cheney and Mr. Doug Fournier of Dallas, Texas, and the late Mrs. Fournier. Her groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Alan Diebel of Our Town. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Leo Reinkemeyer and Mrs. Fred Diebel of Our Town and the late Mr. Diebel.

Catholic Education Foundation

Patron’s Party

A special guest spoke at the Catholic Education Foundation’s Patron’s Party on May 2nd. Collins Tuohy, the sister of Michael Oher and whose family inspired The Blind Side, spoke to guests during the event at Indian Hills Country Club. Miss Sue, Michael Oher’s tutor was also there to speak.

Mr. and Mrs. Paul Uhlmann III of Mission Hills are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Emily Bloch Uhlmann, to Wesley Joseph Fehsenfeld, the son of Debra Bates Davis of Charleston, South Carolina, and Mr. Joseph Craig Fehsenfeld of Barrington Hills, Illinois. The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wollman Bloch of Mission Hills and Mr. Paul Uhlmann, Jr., of Our Town and the late Mrs. Uhlmann. Emily is a graduate of Shawnee Mission East High School. She earned a bachelor of arts degree in studio art from College of Charleston and was presented at The Jewel Ball in 2005. Emily is careering as an artist and is employed with  The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art as an assistant art teacher.

Her groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Robert Fehsenfeld of Crystal Lake, Illinois, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas John Bates. Wes is a graduate of Barrington High School in Barrington, Illinois. He earned a bachelor of science degree in business administration from College of Charleston. Wes is graduating in May, with honors in the Beta Gamma Sigma National Honors Society and will earn a masters of business administration degree from the UMKC Bloch School of Management. He is careering with The Uhlmann Company. Theirs will be an October 27th wedding in Charleston, South Carolina.

Vacation

Vacation Vignette

Brothers Ryan and Alex Hrinya had a great time exploring the big apple during their recent trip to New York City. The boys watched a thrilling hockey game at Madison Square Garden and took in two Broadway Shows. They also got to tour NBC Studios. It sounds like these brothers had a great time in old New York, New York.
