Thomas Rivers Collins was born on July 31st. The darling baby boy is the first child born to Monica and David Collins of Denver, Colorado. Rivers has brown hair and hazel eyes and weighed eight pounds. His proud grandparents are Susan and Charles Porter of Our Town and Debbie and Thomas Collins of Vero Beach, Florida. Great-grandparents Mrs. Raymond Fleigh and Dr. Donald Smith are thrilled with the adorable addition to the family.
Susan DeVos of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, is pleased to announce the engagement of her daughter, Kelsi Marie DeVos, to Neal Cubbison Stark, the son of Mr. Benjamin Walker Stark of Our Town and the late Rita Evans Stark. The bride-to-be is also the daughter of the late Mr. Dennis DeVos. Kelsi is the granddaughter of Mrs. Robert Lange of Crofton, Nebraska, and the late Mr. Lange and the late Mr. and Mrs. Roy DeVos. She is a graduate of Fargo South High School in Fargo, North Dakota.
Double the pleasure, double the fun! Gorgeous twin boys, Jack Edward Thompson and Harry Townley Thompson, arrived on August 14th to proud parents Maigan and Hayes Thompson of Nashville, Tennessee. The darling duo joins big sister Charlotte Opal, age two. Both boys weighed close to five pounds. Jack was 18 inches, and Harry was 17 and 3/4 inches. Jack and Harry’s delighted grandparents are Barbara and Webster Thompson of Mission Hills and Diane and Ron Shanks of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee.
John Marshall Watson and Paul Sidney Sparks were married on September 12th at Saint Ann’s Episcopal Church in Bridgehampton, New York. Marshall is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Etheridge Watson, Jr., and Paul is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Paul Sparks. The evening prior, Marshall and Paul hosted a rehearsal dinner at their beautiful home in East Hampton.
July 8th was the date for an intimate reception celebrating the marriage of Thaylia JoAnn Smith and Patrick Alonzo Conway. The special event was held at Deedee King’s beautiful home in Kirkwood Circle. Hosting the event with Deedee were Laurie and Charles Jarrett, Barbara and Charles Haviland, Patricia Abts and Andrew Fogle, and Daniel P. Baker, all members of the Missouri Repertory Theatre Alumni Group in Our Town. Guests enjoyed a sumptuous buffet paired with red and white sangrias.
