This weekend is the Public Preview Weekend for the 43rd Symphony Designer’s Showhouse. This year’s house, at 47 East 53rd street in Kansas City, Missouri, will be open Saturday, January 28th from 10am to 5pm, and Sunday, January 29th from 12-4pm. See the house before the designers get to work, and then come back from April 21st to May 20th to see the amazing transformation made by some of Our Town’s top designers. Admission is $5 at the door. Halloween is approaching and you know what that means — it’s time to scare yourself silly!  There will be a Ghost Tour at the John Wornall House on October 21st.  Guests will listen to Civil War Ghost stories by the Missouri Irish Brigade of Civil War Reenactors.  (We hear this is okay for the brave kids!)  Also on October 21st is the first public paranormal investigation at Alexander Majors House.  Reservations for this spooky event are required and are limited.  Sign up for either event by visiting www.brooksidekc.org.
