Kansas City Chalk and Walk Festival

Looking for something to do this Father’s Day weekend?  The third annual Kansas City Chalk and Walk Festival will decorate Crown Center Square this weekend (June 19th and 20th).  Festivities will take place from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, and from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.  Hundreds of professional, amateur, and student artists from all over Our Town will use chalk pastels to create drawings inspired by the 16th century Italian Renaissance.  Three different themes will be showcased – the Masters, Alice in Wonderland, and Originals.

Loads of entertainment for kids will be provided – an adjacent area will be set up where young artists can chalk.  Street performers, dressed in Alice in Wonderland costumes, will be on hand, and children can hop in on a photo opportunity of a “Tea Party.”
