Classic Kitchens

New and exclusive offerings from Classic Kitchens, Wood-Mode Fine Custom Cabinetry, Caesarstone, and Cambria

There are now more options than ever to create a sleek, clean lined, contemporary look for the kitchen, utility room, home office, bar, or bath while keeping an eye on the bottom line.

Expanding Wood-Mode’s Brookhaven line, the simply elegant Vista door style has been re-invented and is now available with grain matched doors & drawers in beautiful cherry, maple, or oak woods.  The durable painted version of this style is available in a multitude of standard colors from a soft, nature inspired palette to bright accents for a touch of fun.  Laminate surfaces on cabinetry are back in a big way, seen here in one of the recently introduced sophisticated wood grained patterns…”Smoky Brown Pear”.  This is not your mother’s Formica!

Accessories, like jewelry, complete the look.  Brushed aluminum & chrome door and drawer pulls are fully integrated into the surface, maintaining a smooth cabinet front & clean lines.  Metal edge banding on doors & drawers extends the visual impact of the hardware.  Screen glass set into brushed aluminum frames on doors adds sparkle and a softened view of the cabinet interior.

Flip up doors on wall cabinets keep open doors up, up, & away while loading or unloading dishes while their elongated shape creates a horizontal, zen-like appearance when closed. Blum soft closing mechanisms on drawers and doors help to keep the peace.  For the kitchen command center, printer & file drawers help keep equipment and clutter contained.

Wood-Mode has made living in harmony with nature a priority from the beginning.  Long before it was cool to be ‘green’ this American cabinet manufacturer was heavily involved in environmental sustainability by controlling emissions, conserving resources, managing waste, reducing, re-using, & recycling as well as utilizing responsible forestry management.  These practices have earned them the Environmental Stewardship Program certification from the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association.

Complementing simplified cabinetry styles are the more evenly textured & patterned offerings from quartz countertop material manufacturers, Cambria & Caesarstone.  With their high style & low maintenance, lifetime warranties, Greenguard certification, lush colors & rich configurations, these tops are tops!  (Caesarstone Marrone and Cambria Templeton featured here.)

To lighten things up a bit, low voltage LED under cabinet fixtures are utilized.  From Task Lighting, you will never change a bulb and will realize a less than 3 year payback of the initial fixture cost in energy savings.  An angled power strip, also by Task, contains outlets, switch, & tiny transformer for the lighting above.

Clean lines, harmonious colors & materials, utilizing green & sustainable products, creating open & airy spaces are the current trend.  But they are not trendy…these are building blocks of classic design with staying power…truly Classic Kitchens.
