Visit Kemper Museum to enjoy Argentinean artist Ana Maria Hernando’s installation work Nina Soñando (Young Girl Dreaming) (2010). The exquisite and intricate installation is part of the Museum’s exhibition The Big Reveal, on view January 28th through April 15th. On the opening day, January 28th, come to the museum to hear first hand from Ana Maria Hernando about her cut-paper and installation works, inspired by her visits to remote villages in the Peruvian mountains. December is the last month that two of the Nelson-Atkins Muesum of Art’s fabulous exhibitions will be on view.  Don’t miss your chance to view George Ault and 1940s America and The Prints of Romare Bearden.   As American struggled with the effects of World War II, artists like George Ault were documenting the anxiety felt by the nation.  This exhibition features the work of 23 American artists working during the war, and opens a window into the past.  Another important American artists of the 20th century was Romare Bearden.  A collection of his prints, which explore the artist’s experience as an African American during the mid to late 1900s, will be on view until the end of the month. Have you had a chance to check out the Plaza’s newest eatery, Gram & Dun, yet?  It is a gastropub, a bar and restaurant hybrid, which focuses on serving exquisite food in a comfortable atmosphere. Gram & Dun is run by the people behind the BRGR Kitchen + Bar and Urban Table, so we are sure it will be tasty!
