Mr. and Mrs. James Richard Slaughter of Fairway are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Anne Manion Slaughter, to Michael Clark Hinckley, Jr., the son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Clark Hinckley of Cincinnati, Ohio. The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Mr. James Langwith Manion of St. Louis, Missouri, and the late Mrs. Manion and the late Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Stephen Slaughter. Anne is a graduate of Shawnee Mission East High School.

Francie Bergman, the daughter of Leslie Carto and Rusty Bergman, celebrated her third birthday with a classic tea party in her home. The eight guests’ tea party manners were impeccable, and they did a great job of pouring tea for one another from mini teapots.

The Belles of the American Royal

Cathy Fligg Frame
The Belles of the American Royal are pleased to announce the selection of Cathy Fligg Frame as their 2015 president. The 66th BOTAR Ball will be held on October 24th at the Muehlebach Tower of the Kansas City Marriott Downtown. Cathy is a BOTAR, class of 1983. She served as a page in 1968. Cathy was vice president of BOTAR in 2007 and vice president of the Ball in 2013. She also served as rehearsals chairman,¬† family reservations chairman and on women’s advisory.

Thomas Gordon Bell

Crib Note 
Thomas Gordon Bell was born on October 27th. The darling baby boy is the first child born to Amy and Michael Bell of Fairway. Tommy has light brown hair and hazel eyes and weighed seven pounds, 13 ounces. His proud grandparents are Kay and Tom Schoenfeld of Our Town and Kathy and Gordon Bell of Kiawah Island, South Carolina. Maternal great-grandmothers Mrs. Howard Helzberg of Birmingham, Alabama, and Mrs. Fred Schoenfeld of Mission Hills and paternal great-grandmothers Mrs. P. D.
