Kansas City Young Matrons – Civics Honoring Day
On October 8th, The Kansas City Young Matrons celebrated Civics Honoring Day at their historic clubhouse. Past presidents and silver, life and honorary members were honored. National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) of Kansas City Executive Director Guyla Stidman educated members about the services the organization provides to those who suffer from mental illness. KCYM will host The Magic Ball on January 15th, which will benefit NAMI UMKC. Chancellor Leo Morton will serve as the honorary chairman, and Janet Bjerke and Mary Beth Hershey are the co-chairmen.
