Congratulations, Katherine & Daniel!
Mr. and Mrs. Russell W. Baker, Jr. of Our Town are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Katherine Baker, to Daniel Nelson, the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Morton Nelson of St. Joseph, Missouri. Kate is a graduate of The Pembroke Hill School. She earned a bachelor of arts degree in philosophy and social political ethics from Villanova University and a juris doctorate from the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Law. Kate was presented at The Jewel Ball in 2004. She is an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney with the Clay County Prosecutor’s Office.
Her groom-elect is a graduate of Central High School in St. Joseph, Missouri. Dan earned a bachelor of arts degree in journalism from the University of Missouri and a juris doctorate from the University of Virginia School of Law. He was a BOTAR escort in 2006. Dan is a member of Kappa Alpha Order fraternity and is an Assistant United States Attorney with the United States Attorney’s Office–Western District of Missouri. Theirs will be an October 10th wedding at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception.
