Rising Star Reflections – Sheri Johnson
Sheri Johnson has served on the Alphapointe board for six years and served this past year as board chairman. She has helped lead the organization through its 100th anniversary, a re-brand, an acquisition, and an updated strategic plan. Sheri reflects fondly on the opportunities that Alphapointe provides to those who are blind and visually impaired and she is passionate about Alphapointe’s mission to empower people with vision loss to live independent lives. This year, Alphapointe brought back its annual fundraising event, Dining in the Dark, which gives participants the chance to experience dinner in complete darkness and better understand the challenges the blind face every day. A sincere thanks to Sheri for her dedication to this amazing organization and the people it serves in Our Town.
