Vacation Vignette – Huggins

After spending two days soaking up the sun on the beach in Hawaii, Jeff Huggins boarded the USS John C. Stennis with his father, Jim Huggins and his uncle, Len Kriesky, to join his brother, Justin Huggins, a lieutenant in the US Navy. Jeff stayed in his brother’s state room, and ate his meals in the mess hall along with the crew. As the aircraft carrier headed toward its port in San Diego, Jeff saw Pearl Harbor, toured the ship and watched as planes took off from the boat’s runway and performed live air shows.
